Days & Hours needed: Wed. 3 – 7 p.m. &
                                        Sat. 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.     
Hours are flexible

Hourly rate: $25.00

Minimum Acceptable Qualification:
Have graduated from accredited college or university, with Bachelor degree in Medical Technology and currently have medical Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License and/or is in the process of obtaining Supervisor Licensure.  Manual dexterity and visual acuity to understand test interpretation, and understand reagents guidelines. Understand the basic OSHA guidelines for protection against occupational exposure to hepatitis B virus (H BV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).  This position includes tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and tissues.
Some of the Duties and Responsibilities:
1.      Responsible for all operational activities of the clinical laboratory.
2.      Reviews and sign-off on quality control monthly and takes corrective action as needed.  Submit to lab director when warranted.
3.      Problem solves and troubleshoots as needed, by resolving, unusual results, instrument problems and unacceptable quality control results, etc
4.      Maintains standards in the lab as required by certifying and regulatory agencies.
5.      Train new employees when warranted
6.      Supervise personnel, ensure testing is performed with guideline set forth by SOP
7.      Performs and reports diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology and blood typing as needed.
8.      Provides general supervision of the laboratory during “termination” clinic hours
9.      Ensure yearly laboratory proficiency testing for facility and personnel is performed accurately by deadline.
10.  Evaluates new test methods and equipment with management approval.
11.  Annually review and recommends revisions to lab procedures as needed.
12.  Enforce the adherence to universal precautions, safety and dress code at all times.
13.  Ensure confidentiality of patient records.
       14. Attend CHOICES regular scheduled meeting and/or in-services.
       15. Maintain a pleasant, helpful, and professional attitude
       16. Monitor and maintain inventory of all laboratory reagent and supplies, order in timely manner.
