NOVEMBER MSCLS MEETING

Please join us at American Esoterics Laboratories (AEL) on November 3, 2011 at 6:00 pm for the next MSCLS meeting.  Dr. Toni Clinton from AEL will be presenting "Vitamin D Testing".  Dinner will be provided, as will a tour of AEL's new laboratory if you are interested.  Please also help us support the Midsouth Food Bank by bringing canned food items for our November food drive.  Thanks!

  • The business meeting was held at the St Francis Hospital-Memphis Lab Conference Room and was called to order at 6:16 pm by John Bandura, President.
  • The minutes from the August 4, 2011 meeting were submitted by Angela Phillips, Secretary, and approved as written.  (Moved: Heisse, 2nd: Clary)
  • The treasurer’s report was presented by Donna Clary, Treasurer, and approved as written. (Moved: Duncan, 2nd: Jamison)
  • Student Liaison Report: none given

    • UTHSC will now be offering an MLT to MT program
    • Goals for 2011-2012 to include more volunteer work as a society
    • Encourage renewals and new memberships
    • CLMA and ASCLS have begun merger discussions

  • The business meeting was held at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Allied Health and was called to order at 6:03 pm by John Bandura, President.

Directions to the lab:
Park in the usual lot behind the hospital.  Instead of going in the door by the auditorium, go in the door by the Sweeny Fitness Center.  This is the one under the green awning. At the first intersection of hallways, take a right.  The lab is on the right about midway down.  Joyce will make signs to mark the way.
